Valentine’s Day went off without a hitch. Given you and your “girlfriend” only matched last week, you were a bit nervous about your extravagant date plan. You went for it: candle lit dinner, on the beach, rack of lamb, wine pairings, Itzhak Perlman serenading. You thought you overdid it until, Samantha… gave you a gift. Opening the package, you couldn’t believe your eyes. A new sweater! Soft cotton, impeccable design, simply amazing. One slight problem. After the first use, your new sweater got mixed in your Chipmunk laundry bag and ended up in the dryer. No worries. Follow these steps to unshrink that beauty and get it back in the rotation.
TOOLS FOR THE JOB:
- Shrunken item
- Hair conditioner
Step 1: Fill your bucket with warm water.
Step 2: Add a tablespoon of hair conditioner to the bucket.
Step 3: Soak your clothing in the mixture for around 30 minutes.
Step 4: Stretch the clothing back to its original size.
Step 5: Rinse out the conditioner and lay flat to dry.
The conditioner and warm water will relax the clothing fibers and allow the item to stretch back to its original size.
Well done! Next time, keep an eye on your new items by using the handy divider in your Chipmunk laundry bag. You can easily separate lights & darks, new and old items, or any other clothing.
